Cap insignia logo
[edit]The cap insignia logo in the infobox is incorrect, there is a new version for the 2020 season that was revealed in 2019. SportsFan007 (talk) 10:53, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
Baseball Cardinals?
[edit]I'd like to see a citation for the team ever being called the "Baseball Cardinals". The NFL team was called the "Football Cardinals" because they were not the "baseball" Cardinals. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 03:07, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- Here's an article from Sports Illustrated in 1964 that refers to both teams as such. Rgrds. --Bison X (talk) 19:13, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- The next question is, now that there is no such thing as a St. Louis Cardinals football team, does anyone still call the baseball team the "baseball Cardinals"? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 09:21, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
Matt Carpenter Uniform Number
[edit]Change uniform number to 13 (previous number held). 24 is retired for Hall Of Fame Manager Whitey Herzog for years. 2601:603:680:A5A0:511D:3285:89FC:9939 (talk) 14:23, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- Edited template to show Matt Carpenter using his prior number from 2012-2021. 24 is retired for Whitey Herzog, per both team sources and later in this Article. 2601:603:680:A5A0:C141:C634:1210:F48 (talk) 04:48, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
